22nd day, Friday. Goodbye :(

This day was the last one and the saddest one. We went to the High Shcool with the suitcases and we kept them in a room. We went with our host to the classes, and at 1:30 the americans and the spanish students went to a room to say goodbye. It was a hard moment because we had spent 3 wonderful weeks with them and we didn't want to return to Spain. At 2:30 the bus left, we all were crying. We left Milford, that village where we all want to come back again.
At 6:45 the plane left the airport, the trip was finished...

21st day, Thursday. Boston.

That day, we went to Boston and a guide showed us the most important monuments in the city.

 Then we went to have lunch and go shopping, it was raining. We bought a lot of souvenirs there.

We came back to the High School at 5:00pm and we went to pass the time to the wrestling class. At 7:00 we went to a room, a man asked us about our trip and we were on TV.
After the meeting I went with Marta Blanquer, Maria Garcia, Maria Cobos, Carlos Travesi, Sandra and Cristina to DQ, we ate ice cream and chicken. When I arrived at home, I packed the suitcase.

20th day, Wednesday. Celtics Game!

In the morning we went to the High School with our host and when the classes finished, we went to Boston because we were going to see a basketball game of the professional basketball team in Boston, Boston Celtics.
Before the game, we went to the Red Sox's Store and I bought a sweater. Then we visited the Red Sox's stadium, Fenway Park.

At 7:00 the Celtics game started. The stadium was so big, there were a lot of stores inside the stadium. I bought a t-shirt, a sweter and a hat of the Celtics. The game was so amazing, Celtics won and we appeared in the big screen!

19th day, Tuesday.

This day was a normal day, we went to th High School with our host.
Ay night, Val had a game, Edu and I went to watch it and they won!
After the match, I went with my family to dinner in a restaurante, I ate a huge pizza!

18th day, Monday. New York.

We got up at 6:30 am, we took a shower and we had breakfast in a cafeteria wich was near to the hotel. At 8:15 we left to take a boat and go to the Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty. It was cold but we were so excited. Then we took again a boat to come back. We ate in a mall before going to visit the UN (United Nations). There, a guide showed us the meeting room and all the things there were. When we visited the UN we came back to Milford.

Interview to Val

This is the interview to my host.
- Sergio: Hello Val. How are you?
- Val: Good, how are you?
- S: Fine, thanks. How old are you?
- V: 17. And you?
- S: I'm 16 years old. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
- V: Yes I have 1 sister.
- S: Do you like sports?
- V: Yes, I love sports!
- S: And, do you play any sports?
- V: Yes, I play field hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse. What sports do you play?
- S: Oh that's nice, those sports aren't typical in Spain. I play basketball and tennis. What sports are typical in the US?
- V: Baseball, football and soccer.
- S: Okay. What do you like to do the weekends?
- V: I like to spend time with my friends and family. Sometimes will go to the mall or the movies. What about you?
- S: I like to hang out with my friends, spend the time with my family and watch movies or play videogames.
      Do you like animals?
- V: Yes I love dogs.
- S: Me too! Do you have any dogs?
- V: Yes I have two big dogs.
- S: It´s cool.

17th day, Sunday. Trip to New York!

We get up so early, at 5:15 am, because at 6:15 we left the High School. We were so excited about the trip. After  5 hours we arrived at New York, we stoped in the 5th avenue for a while, we went to some stores like Apple, Gap, NBA, Tommy Hilfiger, Gant, etc...  and we went to the Rockefeller Center and Central Park.Then we visited by bus the Empire State Building, the Flat Iron, Chinatown, Broadway and Times Square before going to the hotel "Park Central" which is near to Times Square. We wore to watch the musical "In the Heights". When the musical finished we walked around Times Square and we bought some clothes and presents. We appeared on the American Eagle´s screen in Times Square, it was an amazing night!

16th day, Saturday. Halloween party.

In the morning, I went with Val and her cousin to buy a costume. I bought a costume of the movie "Grease". At 4:00 pm we ate at McDonalds and we went to the home to get ready to the Halloween party. At 6:00 pm the party started, we was all dress up and we danced and sang.

After the party almost all the students came to Val's and we continued dancing. We had fun a lot. 

I went to the bed so late and the next day we were going to New York!

15th day, Friday. Party at Sean's

In the morning we stayed at the High School because it was raining and the excursion to the musical store was canceled. I went to English class, Spanish class and Cook class. After the classes Val had a game but it was canceled too. Val, Jill, Carlos Travesi and I went to a funny store.
At 7:00 pm we went to Sean's for a party.

14th day, Thursday. Keefe Technical School.

We went to the High School to take the bus and go to the Technical School. There, a woman told us what they do and we met some teachers. Then, we saw a video about the school and a student showed us all the classes. After seeing the school, we had lunch at the restaurant where the students cooked for us. The food was so good, I ate a cheeseburger.

At 1:00pm we returned to the High School and Carlos Magdaleno, Sergio, Javi, Arturo and me watched a soccer game. When the game finished, all the spanish and some american students went to Taylor's. WE played air hockey, wii and we spoke spanish with them.

13th day, Wednesday. Newport.

At 7:15 I went to the High School and we took the bus to go to Newport. There, we visited two beautiful mansions (The Breakers and Rosecliff). I liked it a lot.

After seeing the mansions we ate in the port and we walked around the seaport. We went to Starbucks before looking at the boats which were in the port.

12th day, Tuesday. Sturbridge.

In the morning we went to Sturbridge by bus, Sturbridge is a nice and old town in nature. We ate there and at 1:30 we returned to the High School.

 I went to Jill's with Alba and Carlos and at 6:00 pm we went to Pinz, we played bowling, Guitar Hero, Time Crisis and laser tag. This game involves to shoot a laser gun and kill the opponents.

11th day. Monday, trip to Boston.

In the morning we took the bus and we leave the school to go to Boston. When we were there we did the "Duck Tour", it's a vehicle that can be drived by the road and by the water. The tour is very interesting because we can see a lot of nice buildings of Boston.

After the tour we visited the science museum.

When we came, Val, Edu, Alex and me went to Heater's home because they had to do homework. Then, all hockey players met at a house to dinner and pass the day.

10th day. Sunday in Salem.

We wake up early and we went to Salem, a town in Massachusetts. In that town there is an university and Val es going to study there. We visited the university and the town, Salem is a popular in Halloween because in the past, people killed a lot of witches. They celebrate Halloween during the month of October.
When we returned, Edu came to the house and we watch the film "The Orphanage" with with some Val's friends. After watching the movie, we had dinner at Taco Bell.

9th day. Saturday.

In the morning, Carlos, Edu, Alba, Jill , Val, Katie and me went to buy a Halloween costume but we didn't buy one. Then, we went to have lunch, buying and speend the afternoon near the stadium of the Boston teams of football (Patriots) and soccer (Revolution).
On the night ther was a party at Leah's house. We made a bonfire and we listened to music. Some of us spent the night there.

8th day. Friday. Carlos' birthday!

When we arrived at school in the morning, we wished Carlos a happy birthday. Then we watch the film "National Treasure". After watch the film we gave Carlos the presents,  he was very excited.
That day, the classes finished early and we went to the outlets to buy some clothes. Before go to the outlets, Carlos, Alba, Edu, Jill, Katie and me had lunch in McDonalds.

In the night there was a party for Carlos, we all were in Caitlin's home. We had fun a lot.

7th day. Thursday

That day we went to a different school, the children was 11, 12 and 13 years old. We spoke with them in english and we sang some songs in spanish. On the afternoon we went to see a swimming competition in the High School. After, Val and me went to dinner at her grandparents' home.

At 7:30, Val, Sergio, Edu, Marta Velasco, Pablo and me went to the mall to buy a present for Carlos because the next day was his birthday. We bought a sweeter, a t-shirt, a bracelet and more things.

5th and 6th day. Tuesday and Wednesday

On Tuesday I got up at 6:15 and we picked up Maria and Olivia too. That day we went only to the Spanish classes, we spoke with the american students and we learned us our customs. On the afternoonwe saw a volleyball game of the school team.
On Wednesday, the excursion to Sturbridge was canceled because it was raining, then we went to the High School with our host. I went to English class, Spanish class and Cook class.

4th day. First day at school.

I was very excited to go to Milford High School. I got up at 6:30 am and we picked up Maria and Olivia to their house. In the school, I went to Spanish class, Math class and Cook class. 

On the afternoon, Carlos, Alba, Paloma, Edu and me went to see a field hockey game because Val played.

After the game, Val and me went to take care of the neighbours.

3rd DAY. SUNDAY, WELCOME PARTY

Sunday morning, I had breakfast a lot of food (baicon, frites eggs, donuts, sausages, orange juice...). Then, we went to "Target", a big store, and I bought a calling card to call to my spanish parents.
In the afternoon, there was a welcome party, we ate pizza, brownies, muffins, etc... We play basketball and soccer.

2nd day. Saturday in Boston.

On Saturday, I was in Boston with Alba and Carlos and we meet Val's sister, who is in the university. Boston is a very beautiful city, we are going to return another day.

We had lunch at the best burger in Massachusets. At 6:00 we returned to Milford to see a football game of the High School team. It's too interesting! I liked the game but the Hawks have lost. 

After the game, we went Jill's house, it was cold and there was a bonfire to keep us hot. We ate doritos with sauces and chocolate bars, and we listened to music.

When I arrived at home, Val and me saw a reality show called Jersey Shore. Four boys and four girls live in the same home and there is a lot of drama. 

FIRST DAY IN U.S.A.

After a long travel by plane, we finally arrived to Boston at 5:00 and it was raining! We were too excited to meet our american family. Val (my host) picked me up at Milford High School with her car, it's fantastic! You can drive cars if you are sixteen years old. Then, we arrived at home, american houses are very pretty, she has two huge dogs and a cat. I unpacked the bag and we went to a big mall with Eduardo, Carlos, Alba, theirs hosts and others americans. We had dinner there.
After, Edu and me went to Val's house with her friends. We played Wii and we listened to music. It's was a very hard day and we were very tired, so we went to bed.
